Getting access into the Lamb’s Book of Life as well as the other "Books"of the Elders; the ever-changing compilation of missed marks (sin) so you can know and do God's plans for your life.
A couple of years ago I was doing some research on the internet to see how my name came up on the web. There was a site which caught my eye which I opened. The site was a list. It was 478 pages long with 100 entries on each page.
THE LIST
The list consisted of a group of numbers, symbols, and letters. Listed after the group was a word, or words. Upon further examination, the words had something to do with me – something I had done, was doing or wanted to do.
WISDOM
I looked at the list and thought about the 3 numbers of 6. The list from the web had 4 spaces for letters, numbers and symbols whereas the number of man was 3 spaces for numbers. Was the list a higher method of calculation? Perhaps whoever created the list needed a way to get more descriptions to keep up with the amount of entries. 666 was nothing when you could have %TU5! What this did for me was to calm my fear of 666. It broke the hold I carried by being able to see 666 just as three numbers.
THE BOOK OF LIFE
I thought about the list I found. Why was it shown to me? What was its significance? Most of all, what should I do about it?
My mind went to the scripture Rev 20:12. “And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and the books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books … If anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.”
I then went to the scripture Rev 21:27 which talks about the Lamb and God Almighty being the temple. “Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.” This showed me that Jesus, the lamb watched over one of the books. This book of life was just the beginning. What were the others and how many were there? 24? One for each elder? I thought perhaps Jesus must be one of the elders surrounding the throne since he has his book he watches over – the book of life. “Surrounding the throne were twenty-four other thrones and seated on them were twenty-four elders.” Rev 4:4
WHAT’S ON THE TEST?
Could this list be my entries in the books of the twenty-four elders? How wonderful, I thought. God was giving me a chance to correct myself before Judgment Day by giving me hints about what will be on my test.
